Alongside his real estate role, he operates a feedlot at Raglan Station, a 10,000-hectare enterprise south of Rockhampton that has been in the Olive family since 1986.
As Operations Manager of Raglan’s feedlot and live-export facility, Ryan has overseen significant developments in livestock handling and finishing systems, helping position the station as a modern and forward-thinking agribusiness. His leadership has been instrumental in driving innovation while maintaining a strong connection to the traditions and values of rural Australia.
In recognition of his vision and contribution to the sector, Ryan was named the 2021 Rabobank Young Beef Ambassador, a national award celebrating young Australians who are shaping the future of the beef industry. Beyond his on-farm work, he has taken on influential roles in industry associations, including serving as Treasurer of the Young Livestock Exporters Network and as an executive member of the Queensland Livestock Exporters Association (QLEA).
